What’s Your Embarrassing Musical Secret?

We all have em’
Tunes we secretly love – but are too embarrassed to admit to in mixed company.
Hidden amongst the shelves of our album or CD collections they remain musical recluses to anyone other than you – finding freedom only occassionally – and then no doubt through the sanctity of the ipod.
Sandwiched between Spiderbait and Empire of the Sun pehaps there’s a Michael Bolton classic that you never freely admit to.
Maybe Boy George or Wham have infiltrated your ‘dirty musical secrets list’ or if the thought of a Flock of Seagulls/Roger Voudouris is too much to bear testimony to – perhaps you’d rather post your guiltiest pleasure anonymously.
But remember – when you’re with with good Doc Pop – there is always patient – doctor confidentially – trust me – I’m a xxxxxxxxx

Africa by Toto….Love that song. I don’t care what anyone says!

That’s a great song Natalie! No need to be embarrassed by that one.
I don’t know which would be my most embarrassing song that I like but by some weird quirk a friend and I were building some furniture and found ourselves singing Safety Dance by Men in Hats and guffawing like a pair of idiots. We were even doing the hand movements. Total dags!

Opening up a can of worms here Doc …
While it wasn’t embarrassing then, it probably is now to say that Michael Jackson was my first real ‘favorite artist’ – back when he was actually black, well darkish anyway. The time of Billie Jean and Thriller. I was about 5 I think.
Throughout the rest of the ’80s it was Nik ‘Wide Boy’ Kershaw and then Rick ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ Astley.
I’ll put my hand up as well and say I was also a big Toto fan. But even better than ‘Africa’, which is a classic, was ‘Rosanna’
One of my all-time favorites, and still is, has to be Dexy’s Midnight Runners’ Come on Eileen…
Of course it’s nothing but ‘cool’ stuff these days hehe

Hey Sgt
At least you didn’t get around with a Choose Life Tee or did you?
